The residence is situated 5 km south of Porec, one of the most sought-after holiday resorts in the whole of Istrie, because of its splendid natural environment, its beaches and numerous possibilities of both different activities and relaxation. This is a magnificent historical centre with numerous monuments, such as two Roman temples and the famous Eufrasiana cathedral with its superb mosaics.

The Amarin is in the south of Istrie,a region in the north-west of Croatia , more precisely in Rovinj. This town, moreover, was a true island until the XVIIIth century, when the narrow channel separating it from the continent was filled in. The Residence is situated 1 km from Vrsar, a tourist spot in the west of the Istrie region situated 9 Km south of Porec. Vrsar was the port that exported the stone of the Istrie region. It is an unusual urban site that grew up in in Roman times and became a small medieval town. The Lim canal (nature park) is to be found 3 Km to the north. Vrsar also represents an archipelago made up of 18 islands, which are inhabited and abound in Mediterranean plants (boat trips available to visit the islands).
